The Great El Rushbo!

Advertise | AdChoices

Breaking news! Rush Limbaugh, broadcaster and right-wing pundit has been rushed to a hospital in Hawaii. Early reports have his condition as "critical". We are awaiting word to gather more details, but obviously millions of people are concerned, and wish for good news.
I realize what a catalyzing figure he is, and also what a beloved broadcaster he is, but whether you like him or not, he has a huge following and is always politically relevant.
I will update this story as more news pours in.
Good Luck Rush, our collective prayers are with you in this battle!

Here's what I'm crossing my fingers for.

Limbaugh has a near-death experience followed by an epiphany in which he realizes his life has been a lie and everything he believed was wrong, he wakes up and Arianna Huffington is there, they fall in love, get married, and he decides to start blogging for Huffington Post.

I loathe and despise everything that Limbaugh does, says, and stands for. He is a human @!$%#stain.

Having said that (and deleted more), I won't wish ill on him. I will say that I hope he gets the same level of health care that he wishes on people like myself. If that were to happen (which it won't), he'd better hope those chest pains are nothing but gas, because he won't get a damn thing done for him by any hospital other than basic triage.

Read this,

I'm not a fan of Limbaugh, but before people go and wish him dead, you may want to consider at least this part of him:

Limbaugh holds an annual fundraising telethon called the "EIB Cure-a-Thon" for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In 2006 the EIB Cure-a-Thon conducted its 16th annual telethon, raising $1.7 million; totaling over $15 million since the first cure-a-thon. According to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society annual reports, Limbaugh personally contributed between $100,000 and $499,999 from 2000–2005 and 2007,[and Limbaugh claims to have contributed around $250,000 in 2003, 2004 and 2005. NewsMax reported Limbaugh donated $250,000 in 2006, and the Society's 2006 annual report placed him in the $500,000 to $999,999 category. Limbaugh donated $320,000 during the 2007 Cure-a-Thon which the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society reported had raised $3.1 million. On his radio program April 18, 2008, Limbaugh claimed to pledge $400,000 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society after being challenged by two listeners to increase his initial pledge of $300,000.

There are a lot of people who suffer from Leukemia......

Not a big believer in Karma but maybe this is a case of Rush reaping what he has sown.

He has always claimed to be a 'voice of truth', well, maybe the truth is closer to being known, for him anyway...

We all live and someday we will all die, perhaps that time is at hand for Rush?

Never mind, boons, I found it on my own - Here it is:

RUSH: We'll have that full bite coming up in just a second. But let's go back, shall we? "Controversy over what Rush Limbaugh said about "Brave Elizabeth," and then they have the bite. "Most people, when told a family member has been diagnosed with the kind of cancer Elizabeth Edwards has turn to God. The Edwardses turned to the campaign." I said that. You heard me say it. But the context was in the discussion of how all political people are different from other people, and there were all kinds of phone calls from people that day who said they didn't understand it. When their family members got cancer, they gave up work or maybe they came to work but they spent as much time with the kids as possible, especially if they were young because they weren't going to see 'em graduate from haskrool, walk down the aisle or get married, or any of this sort of thing. Callers did not relate or understand it. I was trying to explain that political people are a different breed. The quest for the presidency is a huge, huge thing -- and, by the way, what's wrong with saying politics is their religion? That's where they did turn.

he was talking about the campaign, when Elizabeth was diagnosed again with the terminal type ( of course, we know now why he returned to the campaign trail - Elizabeth didn't matter to him as he was busy having an affair and a child by another woman). I get so tired of doing your job, guys.

For boons and the rest of the libtards: comparing Rush and Ted Kennedy is akin to comparing Winston Churchill and Philby the spy. One was (is) a poweful statesman loved by millions, who cares about individual freedom and fighting against tyranny--and the other is a criminal who got by through the protection of individuals high up in government and financial circles. Ted Kennedy should have been rotting in jail instead of running for Senate back in 1969. Rush has inspired millions of people to take part in their country's future and has inspired millions to works of charity and support for the less fortunate. Ted Kennedy and the rest of the entitled class have put our country in the mess we now find it. We'll just have to start the cleanup in 2010.

Best wishes to Rush--hurry back!

vol fan....boons has made his point very clear and concise, why do you think that Rush should get more consideration than Ted Kennedy in this matter? If you compare the two there IS NO comparison! Ted in even in death is ten times the man Rush is or could ever be, but if Rush would have used his platform for truth and facts then I think he would get equal consideration. But you cannot accept boons honest calm answer because he did not osculate Rush's tooshy or YOUR tooshy enough! And in that YOU are the one who looks truly foolish here!...I'm just sayin'

HONOLULU (AP) - A Honolulu television station is reporting that conservative radio talk show hostRush Limbaugh was taken to a hospital with chest pains.

KITV reported Wednesday that paramedics responded to a call at 2:41 p.m. from the Kahala Hotel and Resort where Limbaugh is vacationing.

The station, citing unnamed sources, said paramedics treated Limbaugh and took him to The Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.

Queen's spokesman N. Makana Shook says the hospital is unable to comment on the report.

Limbaugh was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

Oh man I so hope he doesn't die that dude is funnier then hell. Also the people that accurately believe his lies scare the crap out of me. I doubt they will accept he just died. I see bombings and mass shooting in Rush's name and other such insanely because they want to believe "teh evil liberals" killed him.

Rush Limbaugh's chest pain possibly happen after he realized he could no longer use politically-oriented sarcasm to laugh about Democrats WHEN-- (House and Senate bills on health care reform were each passed in time for Christmas. The Senate version costs $871 billion but would expand coverage to more than 94 percent of Americans under the age of 65, including 31 million who are currently uninsured) .

What Is happening to Americans Is Not so Funny anymore-

I have real mixed feeelings here. Having had a heart attack, I wouldn't wish one on anyone except like our buddies Kim or Imanutjob or Osama or any of the terrorist bombers. So, what I'm struggling with is where Limpballs fits in this. Is he a scummy enough piece of sheet like Mamoud to hope he dies painfully or is he human enuf to wish him well?

It appears he has quite an audience, even here on the vine. Look at all the posts. I listen to Rush every day during my lunch hour. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Happy New Year to all!!

SO...Whom are they trying to fool by using a photo of the pig instead of using a photo of the real fat pig that he is?

Not long ago Rush realized his weight had become a noticeable problem and, unlike scores of others in the fat camp, actually succeeded in doing something about it which actually seemed to have enraged his snotty little detractors even more.

It's dishonest for news organizations to use photos of Rush when he was overweight for current stories.

Am I a conservative? No. A Republican? No. Do I always agree with the man? No. But he keeps other's feet to the fire, asks hard questions and pokes holes in the left's dogma ... something that no one seems to want to do these days.

I wish Mr. Limbaugh well, a speedy recovery and a long life.

Sorry, in my effort to post the story, I used the first photo I found. I don't know which photo accurately reflects how Rush looks right now.

Funny, HuffingtonPost is running quite a nice, recent, picture of Rush Limbaugh now that he is ill.

Usually they use the worst most unflattering image that they can find.

Wikipedia listed Limbaugh as dead for 15 minutes.

So, I guess I am forced to question everything listed there from now on. I've known that Wkik was questionable, but this is just sub-par.

It's too bad, because Wiki has the potential to be such a great site.

I do not wish ill will on Rush.........but I read something elsewhere that was kind of funny.

Rush will be OK.......He just choked on some of his own Bull-Sh!t.

I used to work with a gal desperate to lose weight for a big vacation to Greece. She started taking some diet pills, lost a lot of weight and had a massive stroke about 2 weeks before her departure. Very sad.

Rush has lost a lot of weight lately. Of course, I'm just speculating. But some of these diet aids are bad for your health. I wondering if there's a contributing factor here?
