I'll admit it, I'm confused.
Obama said that he wanted to end DADT before he was elected. The Gay Movement has berated him for not honoring that campaign promise. A judge unilaterally over-turns the policy, and then the Obama administration was forced to ask for a stay on the decision?
Back and forth, around and 'round we go!
Can anyone explain this to me? I'm especially interested to hear what the loyal left thinks of this.
Is it politics? I mean Nov. 2nd is looming closer and closer, and the Dem's are losing pretty bad.
But does Obama think this will get his party any extra votes?
Is it that Obama lied when he said he would reverse the policy?
Does he secretly not support gay rights, or at least the kind of rights that the left wants for gays?
Is he a homo-phobe? That's what the left calls everyone else that impedes the expansion of gay rights in any way.
Does he think, like many, that this change could really affect the military, and he doesn't want to risk it?
Seriously, I'm dying to hear the left explain this to me, because at face value, it appears that Obama doesn't agree with the left on this, and that should be shocking to more people than just me!
Let's hear what you think!
